In 1968, in Catonsville, Maryland, nine Catholic activists, including two priests and brothers, Philip and Dan Berrigan, stole 378 draft files and burned them with homemade napalm. In 1970, the brothers were sentenced to prison terms of up to three years. Father Dan fled.
